Katherine and Beau’s story begins where they will say their vows – Oconomowoc Lake, Wisconsin.

Katherine was eight and Beau was twelve when they were first introduced in 2002 by mutual lake friends, the Remiens, but it wasn’t until over a decade later after both graduated from college when they went on their first date.

Beau visited New York City in 2017 for work and asked Katherine to dinner. While Katherine didn't know that it was a date, it was enough to light a spark in their relationship.

Over the next three summers, this spark grew each time they returned home to Oconomowoc Lake for the July 4th Holiday, but it wasn't until the pandemic that they lived in the same city and enjoyed extended time together. In the first year of their pandemic relationship, they worked remotely around the US and in 2021 they moved back to the Midwest and to Chicago.

Oconomowoc Lake is the heart of their story and they're so excited to share a place that holds so much meaning, joy, and history in their relationship with the people they love.
